Medical suspensions have been released for the fighters competing at UFC 134: "Silva vs. Okami," which took place on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, from the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
With several of the bouts ending early (and violently), there were a handful of fighters who were flagged follow up visits with their doctors.
Chief among them was Forrest Griffin, who was given 180 days on the sidelines unless an x-ray of his right foot and jaw come up negative. Even then, he's out for a mandatory 45 days with 30 no contact.
It's not safe fighting Mauricio Rua, kids.
Joining him on injured reserve is Stanislav Nedkov, who needs to get his beak x-rayed and cleared by doctors or he's on the shelf for 180 days. This despite his knocking out Luiz Cane in the very first round.
But that's not all.
Here is the complete list of UFC 134 injuries and their medical instructions (via MixedMartialArts.com):
Ian Loveland: 30 days no contest, 21 days no contact, 180 days or must have negative chest x-ray; if positive, must be cleared by doctor
