UFC 134: "Silva vs. Okami" tonight (Aug. 27, 2011) featured one of the most legendary mixed martial artists in the history of the game, as Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira made his long awaited return to the cage to take on the "Legend Killer" himself, Brendan Schaub.

A loss would be enough for a large contingent of fight fans to feel it time that the former king of Pride hangs up his gloves. He was essentially fighting for his career tonight.

As it turns out, there's some fight left in the old dog after all.

After doing what he's done his whole career, take an insane amount of punishment from a big heavyweight looking for the knockout, Nogueira came storming back to dish out some heavy hits of his own, scoring an improbable knockout in the very first round.

Unbelievable.

The frenzy in Brazil that ensued cannot be described adequately through words, although color commentator Kenny Florian noted he thought he witnessed some Coca-cola flying through the air.

This marks the first victory for Nogueira since he defeated Randy Couture at UFC 102 back in Aug. 2009.

What an unbelievable performance from one of the greatest heavyweight legends of all time ... and he did it in front of legions of screaming fans that backed him the whole way.

Long live Big Nog!
