Whoever you gamers decide, that's who.
That's because THQ, the makers of the popular video game series, and the UFC today announced in a press release that it's up to consumers to who graces the cover of its latest effort in the series, UFC Undisputed 3, which is set for a Jan. 3, 2012 release.
Between now and 3 p.m. ET on Sept. 30, 2011, fans can vote, right here, for one of the five champions in the major weight classes: Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar, Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre, Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva, Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones and Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez.
Not only that, but by casting votes, select consumers will have the chance to win tickets to a future live UFC event.
Here's what UFC President Dana White had to say about the contest in the official press release:
"We are excited to let fans choose the cover athlete for UFC Undisputed 3. Frankie, Georges, Anderson, Jon, and Cain are five of the most popular athletes in our sport and each wants to be on the cover. We love making our fans a part of the process and we'll leave this one up to them."
UFC Undisputed 3 gamers can expect plenty of new wrinkles for the latest edition in the series.
For starters, players can now travel back in time and fight in the now-defunct PRIDE organization. Yes, that means soccer kicks, knees to a downed opponent and even commentary from Bas Rutten and Stephen Quadros.
PRIDE never die!
In addition, UFC Undisputed 3 will offer two new weight classes as well as an expanded roster for next year's release, which will be available for the Sony PlayStation 3 and MIcrosoft's Xbox 360.
And now you can decide which champion will grace the cover. Who gets your vote, Maniacs?
