If it ain't free, it ain't me.

A light heavyweight battle has been booked for the upcoming UFC on Versus 6 event set to go down on Oct. 1 in Washington D.C., as Fabio Maldonado will get busy with Aaron Rosa.

The promotion announced as much on its website today, saying:

"Two exciting light heavyweight sluggers have verbally agreed to throw down October 1st in Washington D.C. as Aaron Rosa takes on Fabio Maldonado," said UFC President Dana White.

Maldonado will be looking to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to Kyle Kingsbury at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 13 Finale back on June 4. The blow of the loss was softened with the "Fight of the Night" bonus that came with it, but defeat is defeat, after all.

Aaron Rosa will be making his debut in the light heavyweight division after a four-fight winning streak through various promotions was snapped by Joey Beltran at UFC 131.

"The Mexicutioner" battered the "Big Red" around the cage before eventually overwhelming him in the final round. It was the Octagon debut for Rosa, who wasted little time deciding he's much better served to try his luck at 205-pounds.

UFC on Versus 6 will be headlined by a bantamweight title fight that features champion Dominick Cruz trying to "Dominate" the division's mightiest mouse, Demetrious Johnson.

Other match ups currently set for the Oct. 1 card include a welterweight war between Anthony Johnson and Charlie Brenneman, as well as a long awaited rematch that pits Mac Danzig vs. Matt Wiman.

And don't forget that heavyweight hustle that pits Pat Barry vs. Stefan Struve.
