According to noted oddsmaker Nick Kalikas of BetonFighting.com, it's none other than Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo. "Scarface" is the -270 favorite headed into his UFC 136 showdown in Houston, Texas against Kenny Florian on Oct. 8.
"Ken Flo" stands as the considerable underdog at +210.
Anyone jumping on this line with wallets wide open? Or do you expect a dramatic shift as we get closer and closer to fight night?
This will mark the fourth time Aldo will be putting his 145-pound title on the line and the second time he will do so inside the Octagon. Florian, on the other hand, has challenged for the lightweight title twice and failed on both occasions.
The lines will shift and move as the betting dictates, of course, but the consensus opinion seems to be that they'll hold steady right around where they are now.
Florian jumps straight into yet another championship fight after just one bout and one extremely close win in the featherweight division.
That's because the 145-pound weight class isn't exactly loaded with talent, at least not skilled individuals with the name value "Ken Flo" has built for himself since his days on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF).
Maybe Florian deserves the shot and maybe he doesn't not either way, that's what we're getting. Who's complaining? Certainly not fans but are you giving him much of a chance. The oddsmakers certainly aren't.
