With UFC 133 drawing closer and closer, the media push is underway to help promote the Aug. 6 event taking place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which will feature Rashad Evans vs. Tito Ortiz in a rematch four years in the making.
Evans will do his part by appearing on "Late Night" with Jimmy Fallon on Friday, July 29, 2011 alongside Brian Williams, Big Sean and Ben E. King.
Quite the line-up of superstars. "Suga" is expected to be the second man out.
Among the topics up for discussion will be, of course, his pending match-up against "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" and you just know Jon Jones will make his way into the conversation.
Evans adds to a growing list of Octagon kings that have appeared on late night television.
Brock Lesnar rub elbows with Fallon earlier this year on the March 28 edition of the show. The Brockness Monster ended up choking out the talk show host.
"Suga's" nemesis, Jones, also appeared on NBC, although he was given top billing with "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno on March 24.
Does that mean "Bones" is a bigger star than Evans? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, sorry, Rashad.
UFC 133: "Evans vs. Ortiz" takes place Aug. 6, 2011 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. For all the latest news and notes, be sure to visit our event archive right here.
