Strikeforce event schedule for 'Fedor vs Henderson' on July 30

Strikeforce is just days away from its latest Showtime televised fight card on July 30, 2011, from the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

"Fedor vs. Henderson" will feature what could very well turn out to be the last stand of "The Last Emperor," Fedor Emelianenko, as he takes on fellow PRIDE veteran and current Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Dan Henderson.

In addition, Strikeforce Women's Welterweight Champion Marloes Coenen will defend her title against number one contender Miesha Tate in the co-main event of the evening.

That means the cast and crew of this Saturday's super-show have descended upon the greater Chicago area for a myriad of fight-related appearances and activities including the Strikeforce weigh ins, press conference and of course, the event itself.

But when and where does it all go down?

Wednesday, July 27:

Strikeforce will hold its "Fedor vs. Henderson" media open workout at the Chicago Marriott Northwest. While traditionally this is an event with restricted access, MMAmania.com will provide a boatload of pics, videos and sound bytes throughout the afternoon for an inside look at how the combatants are shaping up prior to fight night.

Scheduled to appear are Dan Henderson, Scott Smith, Miesha Tate, Tyron Woodley, Marloes Coenen, Tim Kennedy, Robbie Lawler, Paul Daley, Fedor Emelianenko and Tarec Saffiedine.

Thursday, July 28:

The Strikeforce pre-fight press conference goes down at 11:30 a.m. local time, which means, above all else, staredowns! The fighters representing the televised portion of the fight card will be on hand to talk turkey about Saturday's brouhaha, but let's be honest, we're interested in the staredown pics, which MMAmania.com will post later in the day.

Friday, July 29:

It's time to tip the scales, as the Strikeforce: "Fedor vs. Henderson" competitors all weigh in at the Sears Centre Arena Main Entrance Concourse which is located at 5333 Prairie Stone Pkwy, Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The event is free to attend and open to the public, but you can also stay abreast of all the action right here on MMAmania.com, as we'll be providing real-time updates of all the weigh in results as they go down.
