Retirement was in the air as Tito Ortiz walked to the Octagon for what would potentially be the very last time to take on Ryan Bader at UFC 132 tonight (July 2) in Las Vegas.
The two started tentative, neither wanting to engage. Then both waded in and Ortiz landed a BIG right hand to the chin. Bader went to the floor and in a scramble, Tito locked on a guillotine and wouldn't let go until he felt the tap.
Tito Ortiz defeats Ryan Bader via submission in round one.
Yes, that just happened.
Ortiz was flat out told he would be gone from the UFC if he couldn't take care of business tonight. He also said Tito performs his best when his back is up against the wall.
I guess he was right ... really right.
"The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" is back. If only for one night, he is back.
What do you think of this one, Maniacs?
