The UFC 132: "Cruz vs. Faber" pay-per-view kicked off with a welterweight clash of potential top contenders, as Carlos Condit took on Dong Hyun Kim.
Grappling was expected from the Korean ass-kicker and he certainly tried.
Except Condit was ready with a perfect defense -- a flying knee. He landed one clean on the chin and dropped Kim in a crumpled heap.
"The Natural Born Killer" lived up to his name by swarming his fallen foe and quickly finishing the job with hammerfists from hell.
Hello top contention.
In the post-fight interview, Condit revealed he was sick just weeks before fight night, nearly forcing him to pull out.
Thank god he didn't.
That fact will only work even further in his favor, as he definitively ended the undefeated streak of Kim with one of the best knockouts of the year.
