If you call them out, at least one of them will come.
Melvin Guillard has been on a crusade to fight any and everybody in the lightweight division that will advance his standing and get him closer to a title shot.
That's what he'll get in Joe Lauzon, as the two have been booked to trade shots at the UFC 136 event scheduled for Oct. 8 in Houston, Texas, according to UFC.com.
Guillard has been on an absolute tear, including consecutive explosive first round knockout victories over Evan Dunham and Shane Roller, respectively.
If he can do the same to Lauzon, how close will he be to the title shot he's always wanted?
Lauzon has been inconsistent as of late, going 2-2 over his last four contests. The Bostonian bulwark is a formidable threat on the ground, though, and one of the division's more likable fighters. His impressive two-minute "Submission of the Night" over Curt Warburton just last month has him back in the discussion as a top lightweight.
A win over Guillard would turn those whispers into screams and halt the mega-push "The Young Assassin" has been on over the past year.
Either way, expect the first round to be pure unfettered insanity.
UFC 136 will feature the long awaited conclusion of the trilogy pitting Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar vs. number one contender Gray Maynard.
Also booked for "Space City" is a veritable number one middleweight contender clash between Chael Sonnen and "All American" Brian Stann.
