UFC Fight Night 25: "Shields vs. Ellenberger" is finally starting to fill out its fight card with the addition of a bantamweight clash that may as well be considered a loser leaves town match.
Struggling former standout Ken Stone has been booked to face off against Donny Walker at the Bud Light sponsored "Battle on the Bayou" event that goes down Sept. 17 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The UFC brought word of the bout earlier today.
Stone began his career an impressive 9-1 and was given a shot under the Zuffa umbrella just as the WEC was about to fold into its bigger sister promotion, UFC. He lost his debut fights in both organizations via spectacular knockout in the first round of both.
Walker, meanwhile, was signed and rather quickly thrown on the UFC 132: "Cruz vs. Faber 2" card this past July 2, where he fought hard but came up short in a three-round decision defeat at the hands of Jeff Hougland.
UFC Fight Night 25 will feature Jake Shields return to action for the first time since his loss to Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre in a tough 170-pound throwdown against Jake Ellenberger.
