Strikeforce medical suspensions and injuries for "Overeem vs. Werdum" on June 18 in Dallas were released last night by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for the Showtime telecast held last Saturday night at the American Airlines Center.
Every fighter that competed on the card was given at least a 10-day suspension.
There were a few that were given much longer marching orders and it's no surprise whose names show up first, as Conor Heun has been put on the shelf until Aug. 28 to deal with the dislocated elbow he suffered in his preliminary card win over Magno Almeida.
Justin Wilcox has also been sent on a mandatory vacation thanks to the accidental eye poke he suffered at the hands of Gesias Cavalcante. "The Silverback" will be riding the pine until at least Aug. 3.
Other notable fighters who were given a longer than normal layoffs were K.J. Noons (until July 19), thanks to his getting boxed up by Jorge Masvidal and Valentijn Overeem (July 19), thanks to his turtle up technical knockout loss to Chad Griggs.
But that's not all.
