The official weigh-in event for Strikeforce: "Overeem vs. Werdum" took place earlier today (Friday, June 17, 2011) live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

Of the 20 fighters set to compete on tomorrow night's card, only welterweight Brian Melancon was unable to hit his mark, tipping the scale at a bloated 175-pounds.

The rest of the weigh-in festivities went off without a hitch.

The Showtime televised event will feature the second leg of the promotion's heavyweight tournament, including match-ups that pit Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem against the jiu-jitsu stylings of Fabricio Werdum.

Also looking to make his way into the semifinals is former PRIDE star Josh Barnett when he takes on the hard-hitting Brett Rogers while Chad Griggs continues his unlikely run opposite Valentijn Overeem.
