The official weigh-in event for Bellator 45 took place today (May 20, 2011) in advance of tomorrow night's card, which airs live on MTV2 at 9 p.m. ET, in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
All fighters successfully made weight for their scheduled fights save for the Rene Nazare vs. Kelvin Hackney, as they will both weigh in prior to the show tomorrow night.
Headlining the main event will be the first ever Bellator light heavyweight championship fight as the season four 205-pound tournament concludes. Finalists Richard Hale and Christian M'Pumbu will square off for up to five rounds after a very entertaining light heavyweight tournament.
The featherweight tournament will also be holding its finals as Daniel Straus and Patricio Freire will vie for the right to face current champion Joe Warren on top of winning $100,000 in prize money.
The main card concludes with M-1 veteran Karl Amoussou and King of the Cage veteran Sam Alvey competing for a spot in the Bellator season five middleweight tournament.
