UFC 133: Mike Brown vs Nam Phan booked for Aug. 6 in Philadelphia

What can Brown do for you?

Well, Mike Brown, at least, can put on exciting fights and he'll do just that against Nam Phan at the upcoming UFC 133 event on Aug. 6, 2011, at the Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The promotion announced the fight booking earlier today.

Brown hasn't been seen since a unanimous decision loss to Rani Yahya on Jan. 22, just 21 days after he dropped a split decision to a game Diego Nunes.

That marked four losses in six fights for old "MTB," who, on top of all that, has been out of action due to surgery on his hand.

He's finally healthy and raring to go, though, and he'll get the chance to prove he ain't dead yet later on this summer.

Nam Phan is returning from an injury of his own, a broken foot that sidelined him from a potential revenge match against Leonard Garcia at UFC Fight Night 24.

He started his career at a blistering pace, going 5-0 in the year 2005 alone. However, he's gone just 4-6 in his last ten fights. Hardly UFC worthy, right?

Not so fast.

The California native worked his way into the Ultimate Fighter house for installment twelve of the show and did enough to earn himself a fight on the Finale card against Garcia.

One exciting fight and a controversial decision later and record be damned, of course he was going to be asked back.

Fireworks in Philly, ladies and gents.

UFC 133 is quickly filling up with compelling match-ups. Jose Aldo vs. Chad Mendes is possible for the main event of the evening, what will it being for a title and all. Rashad Evans vs. Phil Davis is also set for the card.

On top of that, Vitor Belfort vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama and Rich Franklin vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira have been added to the event, as well.

As per usual, keep it locked right here at for more of this still-developing fight card.
