Junior dos Santos has yet to see it, but thinks PED abuse happens 'a lot' in his division

See no needle, hear no needle.

UFC heavyweight contender Junior dos Santos has yet to witness any heavyweight in the UFC or Strikeforce ranks using performance enhancing drugs (PEDs).

But he still knows "a lot" of people in his division use them.

"Look at the size of Alistair Overeem and Brock Lesnar," the Brazilian argues. They're huge! "Cigano" is getting a first hand look at his fellow Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 13 coach on this season's Spike TV reality show as he prepares to face Lesnar at UFC 131 on June 11 in Vancouver.

Dos Santos joined former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and referee Mario Yamasaki on a special edition of UFC Sem Limites (via Bloody Elbow) and the subject of PEDs came up when discussing the recent transgression by Thiago Silva.

Here's Junior's take:

"No I’ve never seen (someone taking performance-enhancing drugs [PEDs]), but I think at Heavyweight that happens a lot for sure. When you see people like Alistair Overeem, Brock Lesnar, look at the size of those guys, they’re really big. As Mario (Yamasaki) said, a lot of people use them but a lot of people don’t. I’m someone who has never used (PEDs), I think I came in the good phase of MMA and I’ve never used them."

Dos Santos has "never used them" and Lesnar and Overeem have never failed a drug test.

That means as far as we know, the only fighters using PEDs are the ones that P-E dirty. No? You mean it still goes on behind the scenes?  Unfortunately all we have to base that on is the speculation of fellow fighters like "Cigano," unless someone wants to step up and start naming names.

Anyone?

The proof is in the pudding, so to speak.
