I think Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem will sweep the promotion's Heavyweight Grand Prix Tournament and make his first appearance inside the Octagon later this year.
If you're reading this and thinking "Here's a rope Holland, please grab a hold of it and repel down from the 'Demolition' sack because Nick Diaz will beat him to the UFC," well, I have just one question:
Our fiscal friends over at BetUS.com today revealed the betting futures for the top Strikeforce fighters and the odds on them defecting to the UFC before year's end.
So, which fighter competing for the San Jose-based organization will be the first to appear inside the Octagon?
Follow me after the jump to see the numbers.
Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz: 3/1 ((Bet Now))
Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem: 7/1 ((Bet Now))
Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Dan Henderson: 9/2 ((Bet Now))
Strikeforce heavyweight attraction Fedor Emelianenko: 5/1 ((Bet Now))
Please note: If none of the above Strikeforce fighters compete for the UFC prior to Dec. 31, 2011, all wagers will be considered a "Loss." Any wager after an event becomes public knowledge will be considered "No Action."
So, what's your best guess?
