UFC 129: Georges St. Pierre will 'still be UFC welterweight champion' after Jake Shields fight (Video)

Or will Shields take his place at the 170-pound throne come April 30 in Toronto at UFC 129?

"Jake Shields hasn't lost in six years. He has won 15 fights in a row. But he hasn't fought me. The UFC world title is a different game.

"He's a guy that I've wanted to fight for a long time. I think he's the greatest fighter at welterweight now, he's the guy to beat. The best guys are going to clash together that night and it's going to be a good fight.

"Jake Shields is the best jiu-jitsu guy in the UFC right now. I know what he wants to do to me. He's going to want to set up his takedown with striking, put me down, mount me and try to submit me from there.

"He doesn't know what I'm going to do to him. I can try to knock him out standing up or knock him out on the floor or try to submit him. I'm not afraid to go on the floor with him and that is something different that he never faced before. Everyone that he ever fought, they were afraid to go on the floor with him but not me.

"I'm a clever fighter. I will dictate the pace of the fight, I will fight my fight and this fight will finish with STILL UFC Welterweight Champion Georges "Rush" St. Pierre."
