55,000.

That's how many tickets the UFC sold for the "St. Pierre vs Shields" event on April 30 in Toronto after some reconfiguring to meet the extreme demand from Canadian fight fans.

That works out to a more than $11 million gate, shattering the previous record for an MMA event.

But the UFC is not stopping there.

Officials announced three separate VIP ticket packages available for purchase at UFC.com, with prices ranging from $600 (Fan Experience) to $1,000 (Superfan VIP) to the all inclusive package for $5,000 (Ultimate VIP).

Each respective package includes:

2 fight posters
2 fight programs
2 two-day UFC Fan Expo passes
2 front row center riser seats

UFC 129 is set to feature a main event between Canada's own Georges St. Pierre, defending his welterweight title against fresh challenger -- and former Elite XC and Strikeforce champion -- Jake Shields.

The mega-event will also include "Father Time" Randy Couture, defying the odds once again to take on Karate master Lyoto Machida.
