Strikeforce payouts and salaries for 'Diaz vs Daley' event fighters on April 9

Strikeforce fighter payouts for those who competed at the "Diaz vs. Daley" event this past Saturday night (April 9, 2011) from the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego were released earlier today by the California State Athletic Commission.

And the Cesar Gracie-trained champions, Nick Diaz and Gilbert Melendez, got paid, pocketing an event-leading $175,000 and $150,000 respectively.

Their opponents, who didn't fair as well inside the cage also didn't match up at the check counter. Tatsuya Kawajiri is heading back to Japan with a healthy $97,612.50 and Paul Daley is flying back to Britain $65,000 richer.

Not too bad for less than five minutes of work for both of them.
