Bantamweight wasn't the only division to crown a new "Ultimate Fighter" tonight (Sat., Dec. 3, 2011) in Las Vegas, Nevada. No, a featherweight (the first ever) has joined them after Diego Brandao took on Dennis Bermudez at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 14 Finale.

And it was an absolute classic.

First, Brandao nearly knocked Bermudez out with a big punch. Then, Bermudez nearly knocked Brandao out with a punch. Finally, Brandao snagged an arm while Bermudez was trying to finish and took it home with him.

He can now put it up on his mantle next to his TUF 14 trophy. Whew. That was fun.

Brandao's knockout power, which made him famous all throughout the season while he was knocking fools out left and right, was in full effect early, as he landed a big shot that had Joe Rogan screaming his head off.

Bermudez, ever the gamer, took it on the chin but refused to surrender. And it paid off, too.

That's because Bermudez responded with a huge shot of his own that put Brandao on his back, fending off the coming onslaught. He looked so, so close to finishing the fight but in his rush to do just that, he left his arm out.

Big mistake.

Brandao grabbed an arm, threw his legs over and rolled into a sick and twisted armbar that forced the tap with just 11 seconds remaining in a fast and furious first round.

Ultimate Fighter say what?
