The UFC 143 fight card continues to take shape as a pair of welterweight bouts were recently added to the Feb. 4, 2012, fight card slated for the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
UFC.com has it:
Despite welterweights Nick Diaz, Carlos Condit, Josh Koscheck, and Mike Pierce already topping the bill on February 4th's UFC 143 card in Las Vegas, there's always more room for top-notch 170-pounders, and that's what fans will get, as UFC President Dana White announced two more verbally agreed to bouts between Matt "The Immortal" Brown and Chris Cope, and Justin Edwards and Mike Stumpf.
Matt Brown vs. Chris Cope will feature two Ultimate Fighter (TUF) veterans trying to get back into the win column. "The Immortal" (12-11) was recently strangled by Seth Baczynski back at UFC 139 while "C-Murder" (5-2) was taken apart by Che Mills at UFC 138.
Justin Edwards vs. Mike Stumpf will also give "Fast Eddy" (7-2) a chance to rebound from a loss at UFC 138, a decision to the always-game John Maguire while Stumpf (11-3) was choked out by T.J. Waldburger at UFC Fight Night 25.
