Rory MacDonald vs Che Mills official for UFC 145 in Montreal

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) yesterday (Dec. 20, 2011) officially announced its return to Montreal for UFC 145, featuring a welterweight scrap between top 170-pound prospect Rory MacDonald and British brawler Che Mills.

UFC.com has it:

"Verbal agreements are in for an explosive welterweight match-up between ‘Beautiful' Che Mills and Rory ‘Ares' MacDonald at UFC 145 next March in Canada," said UFC president Dana White.

MacDonald was expected to compete at UFC 140 earlier this month in Toronto but was forced to withdraw due to injury. "Ares" is 3-1 inside the Octagon and 12-1 overall, his only loss coming at the hands of division number one contender Carlos Condit back in 2010.

Mills made his ZUFFA debut in style, kicking the crap out of Chris Cope at the UFC 138: "Munoz vs. Leben" event in Birmingham, England. It was another "Beautiful" win for the Trojan Freefighter and upsetting MacDonald would make a serious statement in the crowded welterweight division.

Anyone think he can pull it off?

UFC 145 has yet to lock in a specific date or location; however, the Bell Centre, home to UFC events in the past, is likely the leading candidate.
