UFC 141 Prelims on Spike TV features Nijem vs Njokuani and Pearson vs Assuncao

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is bringing a pair of preliminary fights to the Spike TV airwaves for UFC 141, its final "Prelims" special on the cable television network, live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Fri., Dec. 30, 2011.

Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 13 runner-up Ramsey Nijem (5-2) will look to build off his UFC 137 win over Danny Downes in a quick turnaround fight against Anthony Njokuani (14-5).

"The Assassin" was last seen taking a unanimous decision from Andre Winner back at UFC 132.

In featherweight action, TUF Alum and "Real Deal" Ross Pearson (12-5) makes his 145-pound debut against Junior Assuncao (13-4) after dropping a split decision to Edson Barboza back at UFC 134.

Assuncao returned to the Octagon at UFC 135 with a unanimous decision win over Eddie Yagin.

UFC 141: "Lesnar vs. Overeem" will be headlined by the return of former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, back from intestinal surgery to welcome ex-Strikeforce and K-1 Champion Alistair Overeem to the Octagon.

In lightweight action, Donald Cerrone will try to continue his rise to the top of the division against the dangerous Nate Diaz.
