UFC 138: "Leben vs. Munoz," which marked the promotion's final fight card on Spike TV, reeled in an average audience of 1.8 million viewers, according to figures released from the cable television network earlier today.
The live broadcast peaked with 2.13 million viewers and ranked as the number one program on cable in its timeslot for men aged 18 to 34 and 18 to 49.
Not too shabby.
By comparison, UFC Fight Night 25: "Shields vs. Ellenberger" was viewed by an average of 1.8 million fight fans earlier this year, while the UFC Fight Night 24: "Nogueira vs. Davis" Spike TV telecast scored an average of 2.2 million viewers back in March.
"Leben vs. Munoz," featured long-time mixed martial arts veteran Chris Leben fading after just two rounds of pressure from middleweight counterpart Mark Munoz, who put his best foot forward while making a case for a 185-pound title shot against reigning division deity, Anderson Silva.
