Dave Herman's latest drug test comes back clean, already has next UFC fight booked

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight Dave Herman may finally have some vindication in his failed pre-fight drug test fiasco for UFC 136.

On Sept. 28, 2011, it was reported that officials from the The Texas State Athletic Commission had misplaced "Pee Wee's" initial drug test. Upon taking another test, the initial urine sample was found and tested positive for marijuana.

Commission official tested the second test, which tested positive for steroids, forcing UFC officials to cancel his scheduled bout against Mike Russow that was scheduled for UFC 136 in Houston, Texas, on Oct. 8, 2011.

Throughout the whole messy ordeal, Herman maintained his innocence and was adamant that he had ever taken any banned substance. Now, it seems that he may finally have cleared his name and the commission may have some explaining to do.

According to a post on Facebook by his management team, Suckerpunch Entertainment, Herman took another test and the results all came back negative.

Check it out:

"He took the drug test again, and as expected, the result came back all negative! Therefore, his next fight is now confirmed! Yes I am talking about SP fighter Dave Herman!! Official from UFC: Ultimate Fighting Championship coming soon!!"

Very good news indeed for Herman, but not so much for the Texas commission officials, whose double whammy boo-boo cost Herman a payday at UFC 136. According to his management, Herman already has a fight lined up, but no word was given as to who the heavyweight will face next.

Herman was last seen in action at UFC 131 in a "Fight of the Night" performance against Jon Olav Einemo on June 11, 2011. The back-and-forth brawl ended in a second round technical knockout victory for Herman.

"Pee Wee" got off to an impressive 15-0 start to his mixed martial arts (MMA) career and only has two losses to date courtesy of Choi Mu Bae and Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou. Herman holds victories over UFC and PRIDE legend Don Frye and Ron Waterman, among others.

Now that "Pee Wee" has cleared his name and is back in the UFC's heavyweight mix, care to guess who will welcome back the Team Quest member?
