The final featherweight fight is in the books as Diego Brandao moves on to The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 14 live finale to face off against Dennis Bermudez on Dec. 3 from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Brandao smashed his way into the TUF house with a technical knockout victory over Jesse Newell. He would earn a trip to the semifinals on episode six by beating the brakes off Steven Siler in just 30 seconds.
That set up a showdown against Bryan Caraway on the tenth and final episode, which once again would end in favor of the hot-headed Brazilian bomber.
Now the only thing that stands between him and TUF immortality is the iron chin of Dennis Bermudez.
Bermudez survived a blitzkrieg of punches from Jimmie Rivera in the qualifying round, only to come back and win by way of technical knockout. He would replicate that performance in episode four by pounding out Stephen Bass in the second stanza.
That set up a semifinal tilt opposite Akira Corassani, which Bermudez won via first round submission (guillotine choke).
TUF 14 Finale will feature a middleweight showdown between Michael Bisping vs. Jason Miller, who coached opposite each other on this season of the promotion's mixed martial arts (MMA) reality series.
TUF 13 winner Anthony Ferguson will return to where he won it all when he collides with MMA veteran Yves Edwards in other main card action.
