Chael Sonnen vs Brian Stann odds for UFC 136 fight on Oct. 8

He's back.

Former middleweight number one contender Chael Sonnen is finally making his return to the Octagon and if you're wondering why he hasn't been dishing out the usual pre-fight dirt, it's because he's been paired off with American war hero Brian Stann.

They'll get busy on the main card of the UFC 136 pay-per-view event on Saturday night (Oct. 8) in Houston, Texas.

Stann's value is currently at its highest thanks to consecutive knockout wins over Chris Leben and Jorge Santiago, respectively. In fact, one could argue "All American" is easily having the best year of any fighter who plys his trade inside the cage.

Unfortunately it's done little to sway the oddsmakers, who still have him in their sights as a +200 underdog.

A win over Sonnen would most certainly catapult him into a title shot. While it was not confirmed that their middleweight mash-up is a number one contender bout, it's certainly a strong possibility.

So is a victory by Chael Sonnen.

The bookies are naming him the -260 favorite in "The Lone Star State." How about it Maniacs ... too high? Or too low? Anyone plunking down some coin on this 185-pound scrap?
