The middleweight match-up between Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 14 coaches Michael Bisping and Jason Miller is now official for Dec. 3, 2011, at "The Pearl" from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As per usual, Bisping and Miller, after verbally bashing each other throughout the season, will meet inside the Octagon to physically bash each other later this year.
But, unlike most seasons, when the two meet inside the cage it won't be on pay-per-view. Instead, for just the second time in the show's history, the coach vs. coach match-up will go down at the live Finale.
And now it's going to be a five-rounder.
Bisping, a TUF veteran in every sense of the word (won TUF 3 and coached TUF 9), couldn't be happier:
"Jason is one of those guys that you either love him or you hate him," Bisping said in today's release. "I definitely don’t like him. I think most people around him find him very, very annoying. I know people on The Ultimate Fighter did and I was no different. On Dec. 3, I’m going to kick his ass."
Miller is no noob to this reality show thing. "Mayhem" has been the host of MTV's "Bully Beatdown" for three seasons dating back to March 2009.
All the ingredients are there. Controversial? Check. Gimmicky? Check. Can't stop talking? Check.
Oh, and he's a pretty good fighter, too.
"I definitely got under his skin during the season," Miller said. "We hate each other’s guts at this point and on Dec. 3, we’re going to get in the cage across from each other and settle it. I’m excited for this fight."
TUF 14 Finale will also feature, for the very first time in the long history of the show, finalists from the bantamweight (135-pound) and featherweight (145-pound) divisions.
Any Maniacs have an early pick to win it all? And who takes the battle of coaches?
Thoughts?
