UFC 137 results: Donald Cerrone chokes out Dennis Siver

In a battle of budding contenders in the UFC lightweight division, Donald Cerrone absolutely obliterated Dennis Siver in the first round of their UFC 137 bout on SpikeTV.

Both Cerrone and Siver began explosively trading punches and kicks, but it was "Cowboy" who was clearly getting the better of the striking exchanges.

The Greg Jackson-trained fighter blasted Siver early with a shin to the face, but he allowed Siver to recover with a desperation clinch and takedown attempt.

After both men reset, the fight would not last much longer.

Cerrone landed some punches and just when it looked like Siver might be out of trouble, "Cowboy" again cracked him with a head kick that had the German in serious trouble.

This time, instead of following up with punches, Cerrone doves on Siver's back, latched on his hooks incredibly quickly and tightened a rear naked choke that forced a nearly instant tap inside the midway point of the first round.

Cerrone isn't looking to rest on his tremendous accomplishment. He told UFC commentator Joe Rogan that he'd like to fight one more time this year for the UFC, potentially in December. "Cowboy" is now 4-0 in the UFC with all four victories coming in 2011.

So what do you think, Maniacs?

Were you impressed with Cerrone's domination of Siver? Should the former bullrider wait for a big fight or should he just continue rolling with his insane momentum?

Sound off!
