The man on the left, Forrest Griffin, fights at light heavyweight (205-pounds). The man on the right, Roy Nelson, fights at heavyweight (265-pounds).
Seriously.
It appears as though "Big Country" has finally done what UFC President Dana White has long implored him to and dropped a few calories from that famous belly of his.
It was a necessary step in Nelson's career. Increasing heat from both his employers and his fans coupled with a two fight losing streak left him little choice in the matter. We'll see how much his new diet and training regimen has paid off when he squares off against Mirko Filipovic at UFC 137 this Sat., Oct. 29, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Is the new look Nelson headed for bigger and better things (figuratively speaking, of course)?
