UFC 140: "Jones vs. Machida," you are now complete.
That's because the 185-pound match-up between Constantinos Philippou and Jared Hamman has been added to the Toronto fight card, which emanates from the Air Canada Center on Dec. 10, 2011.
The promotion brought word of the pending match-up earlier today:
Verbal agreements are in for a brawling fan's dream bout pitting hard-hitting Constantinos Philippou versus two-time Fight of the Night winner Jared "The Messenger" Hamman in Toronto. The middleweight matchup rounds out the UFC 140 fight card.
Philippou (8-2) was last seen rocking-and-socking his way to a split decision win over aging slugger Jorge Rivera at UFC 133 back in August. The win over "El Conquistador" puts the Serra-Longo fighter at an even 1-1 inside the Octagon.
Hamman (13-3) is also a break-even fighter, sitting at 2-2 as a Zuffa employee. After going down on points to Kyle Kingsbury in Spetember 2010, "The Messenger" roared back to finish C.B. Dollaway at UFC on Versus 5 last August.
Please Hamman, don't hurt 'em.
UFC 140 will be headlined by Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones defending his title not against Rashad Evans, as was planned, but rather Lyoto Machida.
The Nogueira brothers are also on the card, as Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will rematch Frank Mir while Antonio Rogerio Nogueira will go head-on against Tito Ortiz.
