Fans of mixed martial arts were once again treated to an action-packed weekend chock full of fights thanks to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Fighting and Entertainment Group (FEG) putting forth a bevy of top stars in the heat of battle for their year end conclusions to the 2010 fight campaign.
UFC 125: "Resolution" went down last Saturday night (Jan. 1) from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and featured a main event of Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard for the UFC lightweight title. Middleweight stalwart Brian Stann answered the call of power-punching Chris Leben in the night's co-main event.
When the smoke cleared, was anyone really that upset about having "The Answer" and "The Bully" as headliners?
Also blowing up the MMA boards was the marathon event from the Saitama Super Arena as FieLDS Dynamite!! 2010 brought K-1 and DREAM all under one roof for Japanese bragging rights.
There were plenty of highlights and fantastic finishes but the major angle continues to be Alistair Overeem's far east fisticuffs, this time laying waste to UFC exile Todd Duffee.
In cased you missed any or all of it — or just want to keep the discussion alive — below are links to all the major storylines coming out of these events.
