UFC 125 fighter salaries and paydays for 'Resolution'

The official fighter purses for those who competed at UFC 125: "Resolution" this past Saturday night (Jan. 1) from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, were released earlier today by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Ferocious light heavyweight Thiago Silva was the top earner of the night, battering Brandon Vera en route to a $110,000 payday in his first fight in almost a year since recovering from a back injury.

"The Truth" earned $60,000 in defeat.

Right behind Silva was UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar, who by record was the recipient of his $51,000 base salary after battling number one contender Gray Maynard to a draw.

The UFC however, has reportedly agreed to award both fighters their win bonuses despite the even finish, putting "The Answer" at $102,000 and "The Bully" at $42,000.

Also bringing in boku bucks was undefeated welterweight prospect Dong Hyun Kim, who banked a cool $70,000 for outworking Nate Diaz ($33,000) for the three round unanimous decision win.

Keep in mind the salaries listed above do not include fight bonuses, sponsorships, percentages and other unofficial payments. It also does not include deductions for expenses such as insurance, taxes, etc.
