Select preliminary bouts from the upcoming Strikeforce: "Fedor vs. Silva" event will air live via HDNet on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. ET from the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
According to the cable network's official website, the telecast will feature former Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 12 contestant Marc Stevens trying to re-establish himself against John Cholish while jiu-jitsu phenom Igor Gracie faces off against Ring of Combat (ROC) veteran John Salgado.
Rounding out the live preliminary special will be Sam Oropeza vs. Don Carlo-Clauss as well as the lightweight skirmish of Anthony Leone vs. Josh LaBerge.
"Fedor vs. Silva" will kick off the promotion's upcoming World Grand Prix Heavyweight Tournament, featuring a main event between former PRIDE Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko and former Elite XC Heavyweight Champion Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva.
Also trying to advance to the tournament semifinals will be former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski when he throws hands with hard-hitting Russian striker Sergei Kharitonov.
In tournament reserve bouts, up-and-coming division prospects Shane Del Rosario and Lavar Johnson will sling leather while Valentijn Overeem makes his Strikeforce debut against the striking prowess of Ray Sefo.
