Quoteworthy:

"In boxing, when you're a superstar, you get millions of dollars. In MMA, you're not making that kind of money. We're in negotiations right now with [boxing promoter] Don Chargin. We would very much like to take a boxing match. It would probably be at super middleweight [168 pounds]. There have been a few names kicked around. One of them is Fernando Vargas, another is Ricardo Mayorga."

With Evangelista Santos breathing down his neck, Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz continues his negotiations with hall-of-fame boxing promoter Don Chargin for a fight inside the squared circle in 2011. Is Diaz overlooking the dangerous Brazilian, who wants to take his belt at the upcoming "Diaz vs. Cyborg" event on Jan. 29 in San Jose? Or is the Stockton native going to walk through Santos and eventually test his might in the sweet science? Anyone interested in Diaz the pugilist?
