C.B. Dollaway vs. Joe Doerksen (185-pound limit)

Round one: Fight starts and the pair circle each other in the initial feeling out process. CB uncorks a kick to the body and Doerksen uses it to go for a takedown. He gets it, CB scrambles and angles for a guillotine choke. He's got it. It looks deep. Doerksen stands up to try and get out, but CB just tightens it every time he tries to escape. Doerksen eventually bucks to get out of the hold, flips around and CB flips with him. They do it again, and again! CB lands on top and Doerksen is in big trouble. That's it -- he's tapping furiously! Wow, what an insane sequence. CB was riding a bull to get the guillotine. Fantastic finish.

Final result: CB Dollaway defeats Joe Doerksen via submission (guillotine choke) in round one

Joey Beltran vs. Matt Mitrione (265-pound limit)

Round one: Here we go! First televised fight. Mitrione wastes not time, landing a shot on the "Mexecutioner" that sends him in reverse. Right hook and a stiff jab send Beltran up against the fence. Beltran isn't doing much right now -- Mitrione lands a nice shot and Beltran counters. He's awake! Mitrione gets him in a Thai clench to calm him down. Beltran goes for a takedown right away and there is blood all over Mitrione. Not sure who, or where, it's coming from. Beltran is now working some solid ground and pound, dropping some serious leather. Mitrione tries to throw up a triangle, but Beltran works around it and continues his assault. Mitrione is trying to get to his feet, but Beltran is just too heavy on top. Mitrione tries for another triangle, but again, Beltran defends. Round ends with Beltran still in top control.

He's going in for the kill, but Beltran counters and lands a nice shot that slows Mitrione's attempt at finishing him. Now Beltran slows the pace with a takedown attempt, but Mitrione throws him off and the two start going at it again. Herb Dean inexplicably stops the action to cut some tape off Beltran's glove. Action resumes and it's suddenly rock 'em sock 'em robots again. Beltran, with 30 seconds left in the round, goes for a takedown to steal it. Both fighters are exchanging punches, but nothing solid connects for either of them with three minutes left on the clock. Beltran is trying to bum rush Mitrione again, but he steps aside and keeps shadow boxing. Mitrione finally lands a nice jab that stops the progress of Beltran. He throws a three-punch combination and lands one of them. Mitrione lands another and all Beltran can do is cover up. He's not really responding. Mitrione throws another head kick that misses its mark. Beltran's face is a bloody mess. Mitrione tries to add to the damage with a few more punches just for good measure. Beltran throws a big punch that connects, but doesn't do much to Mitrione. With 10 seconds to go in the fight, both fighters let loose with flurries of punches until the final horn sounds. Entertaining fight, but certainly not the prettiest.
