"I want to see Fedor fight guys like Brock Lesnar, Junior Dos Santos, and Cain Velasquez. I want to know, is Fedor that good? We will do what we can when and if Fedor becomes a free agent. If he decides to fight the best, the UFC will be here for him."
Throughout all the 'Fedor to the UFC' talk over the last several months, we have rarely, if ever, heard from UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta. Well, now we have. And he didn't say anything less than we expected. Fertitta is as eager as Dana White is to see Fedor Emelianenko fight in the UFC, and truly face the world's best competition. Do you think Lorenzo publicly pleading for "The Last Emperor" to try and take the UFC heavyweight throne will have any impact on Fedor's decision if, and when, he decides to move on from Strikeforce? Or, is it all just wasted breath?
