M-1 Global's Director of Operations Evgeni Kogan tries to put out some of the fires that were started last week when it was reported that top ranked heavyweight fighter Fedor Emelianenko was considering a career in politics following the completion of his current MMA contract. "The Last Emperor" will fight Fabricio Werdum under the Strikeforce banner on June 26 and has one fight remaining under the M-1 Global co-promotion deal with the San Jose-based fight promotion. Where he goes from there is anyone's guess, but from Kogan's remarks, it certainly doesn't sound like it will be in Parliament. Perhaps the UFC? DREAM? Another run with Strikeforce? What say you?
