Josh Koscheck defeats Paul Daley, becomes TUF 12 coach, earns title shot vs Georges St. Pierre

As it was officially announced this past Thursday by Dana White at the UFC 113 pre-fight press conference, the winner of the night's co-main event in Montreal between Josh Koscheck and Paul Daley would indeed receive the shot to face welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre as well as earn a gig on reality TV alongside GSP as a coach on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 12.

It looks like Koscheck heard the UFC President's message loud and clear.

The TUF 1 competitor/Oscar nominated athlete took the opportunity and ran with it in a one-sided unanimous decision victory over Daley.

After his brilliant acting performance in the opening frame, Koscheck settled nicely into his comfort zone on the ground to grind out each and every round. In a fight marred by amateurish actions, one fighter had to walk away a winner, and it was Montreal's new favorite son.

Koscheck has gone on to score three impressive wins since a surprise loss to Brazilian welterweight Paulo Thiago at UFC 95: "Sanchez vs. Stevenson," stopping Frank Trigg via technical knockout at UFC 103: "Franklin vs. Belfort" back in September and then choking out Anthony Johnson at UFC 106: "Ortiz vs. Griffin 2."

With his win over the Brit at UFC 113, Koscheck will soon be experiencing some deja vu as he will once again get a crack at defeating Georges St. Pierre (GSP beat Josh at UFC 74) and will find himself back on Spike TV as a coach opposite St. Pierre on TUF 12.

The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 12 is expected to premiere this September followed by the UFC welterweight title fight in December of this year.
