UFC 115 results and LIVE fight coverage for 'Liddell vs Franklin' on June 12 in Vancouver

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will tonight (Sat., June 12) pull the trigger on its first-ever pay-per-view (PPV) event in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, from the GM Place.

UFC 115: "Liddell vs. Franklin" will feature a reworked main event of former division champions and The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 11 coaches Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell and Rich "Ace" Franklin.

Also slated for the main card will be a heavyweight slugfest between rising star Patrick "Get Hype" Barry and 2006 Pride FC Grand Prix Open Weight Champion, Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic.

Druby here for a night with some of the most legendary names in MMA history, it should be an extremely interesting card. Sit back, relax, and enjoy Maniacs.

Chuck Liddell vs. Rich Franklin (205-pound limit)

Round one: Liddell moving forward. Nice inside leg kick from Franklin. Chuck with a hard leg kick of his own. Franklin lands a good left. Chuck leading with his chin. Liddell stuffs a take down attempt, hard body kick from Liddell right after he misses a big head kick. Leg kick from Franklin. Nice right hook from Franklin. Good uppercuts from Chuck. Both men landing hard. Liddell dives in and gets a BIG take down!! Chuck looking to pass, Franklin with butterfly guard. Liddell is cut on his head. Inside leg kick from Liddell as their back to the feet. Liddell seems to have gotten cut during his take down attempt. Body kick from Chuck. Great combo from Franklin. Body kick from Ace. Big right from Chuck and Franklin is hurt but Franklin lands a left and wobbles Chuck!!! Both men landing hard. Wow big head kick from Chuck and then he lands a right and bum rushes. Franklin lands a big right out of no where and Chuck is OUT COLD!! Franklin lands two more shots for good measure and a couple mintues later and Chuck is still out cold. WOW, thats it for Chuck Liddell that was a vicious KO.

Patrick Barry vs. Mirko Filipovic (265-pound limit)

Round one: Barry dives right in with two good rights. Big leg kick from Barry. Left from Mirko. Big right from Barry puts Mirko on his butt but he did not even try to follow up and finish and lets Cro Cop up. Nice leg kick from Barry, Another good inside leg kick from Barry and Barry has the speed advantage and it is obvious. Leg kick from Barry is checked now by Cro Cop. Another BIG right from Barry AGAIN drops Mirko to the mat, but again he does not try to bum rush and capitalize. Cro Cop's cheek is swelling up BIG TIME. Mirko looks like he has a broken jaw, ive never seen someones cheek swell this much or this obvious ever in a fight. Leg kick from Mirko. Barry showing some serious respect and not going all out even though its obvious he has hurt Mirko bad twice. Mirko goes for a take down and lands a good left. Barry just misses a BIG head kick and both men laugh and hug in the middle of the fight, must be the irony of it. Head kick for Barry to finish the round. Barry dominated that round and Mirko's face is swollen big time, 10-9 Barry. He is much much quicker.


Round two: Big left head kick from Mirko and another! Now a big body kick from Cro Cop and now he lands a big combo finishing with a strong left. Both men are tied up. Mirko has Barry against the cage and is throwing charlie horse punches. Now body shots from Mirko. Body kick from Cro Cop and a right from Mirko. Barry misses a BIG head kick and now Mirko is going for a guillotine. Cro Cop puts Barry on his back and now Mirko is on top in half guard. Mirko now into the mount!! Barry rolls over, and Mirko is going for the choke from the back. Mirko now sitting on his butt but he still has the back and is looking for the choke. Thats the bell, and Mirko won that round. Were tied up 1-1 should be an exciting 1st round. 10-9 Cro Cop.


Round three: Leg kick from Cro Cop. Head kick from Mirko. Leg kick from Barry. Axe kick from Mirko lands! Mirko ducks under a right hand and now has a body lock. Mirko goes high for a kick and Barry kicks out his leg from under him. Leg kick from Barry. Right from Mirko. Big left from Barry. Uppercut from Mirko. Nice uppercut left from Cro Cop. Mirko pushes Barry against the cage. Elbow from Barry. Mirko landing some shots against the cage. Cro Cop is turning it on now!! Mirko is landing some serious punches!!! Mirko knocks him to the mat and Barry is hurt!!! Mirko is landing a bunch of unanswered shots!!! Elbow from Mirko!!! Cro Cop now locks in a rear naked choke and Barry taps!!!! Wow an amazing finish for Cro Cop!

Final result: Mirko Filipovic defeats Pat Barry via Submission (Rear Naked Choke) Round 3

Martin Kampmann vs. Paulo Thiago (170-pound limit)

Round one: Both men dancing looking for distance. Nice left from Kampmann. Jab from Kampmann. Big right hook from Kampmann lands flush. Jab from Kampmann. Big right from Kampmann. Kampmann is landing good straight right hands. Another good right from Kampmann and Thiago throws some haymakers but lands nothing. Stiff jab and straight left from Kampmann. Nice take down defense from Kampmann. BIG right from Kampmann and Thiago is hurt bad. Thiago holds onto a single and then kicks out the leg of Kampmann and is on top now. Kampmann is bleeding from his nose now. Kampmann sprawls out and is to his feet then Thiago throws him back down with a hip toss and now their back to the feet and Kampmann has in a choke! Now Kampmann is in side control and thats the round. Big round for Kampmann he looked good and controlled that round. 10-9 Kampmann.

Round two: Leg kick from Kampmann. Thiago throws some furious counter shots and lands. Leg kick from Thiago. Nice right from Kampmann. Nice knee from Kampmann. Right and left from Thiago but does not connect. Nice uppercut from Kampmann. Thiago is swelling under his right eye big time now. Kampmann on top has Thiago's back. Nothing much going on right now Thiago is holding onto an arm lock looking for a kimura. Thiago uses the arm to sweep and now he is on top in the side control. Kampmann back to his feet and Kampmann lands a couple good knees as the bell rings. Very close round but id lean towards Kampmann for damage done. 10-9 Kampmann.


Round three: Nice counter right from Kampmann. Their tied up now and Kampmann trips Thiago to the mat. Full guard for Thiago. Kampmann postures up but cannot land anything and now Kampmann jumps onto the back of Thiago and he has a arm triangle to boot. Thiago sheds Kampmann off the top of his back but Kampmann scrambles and is in north south position. Thiago holding onto a leg and Kampmann sprawling. Kampmann with a big knee and now their back to the ground. Their back to the feet now. Big right from Thiago and now he shoots and Kampmann sprawls out easy and spins on top and lands a elbow. Arm triangle for Kampmann now. Kampmann has the back now. Kampmann has the arm triangle almost locked in but the bell saves him. Kampmann dominated from start to finish it was as simple as that. 10-9 Kampmann.

Final result: Martin Kampmann defeats Paulo Thiago via Unanimous Decision

Carlos Condit vs. Rory MacDonald (170-pound limit)

Round one: MacDonald moving forward right away and catches a kick an lands a good right and puts Condit on his back. MacDonald tells him to get back up, and he lands another big right hand. MacDonald ducks under a Condit combo and ties him up and gets a trip for the take down. Condit with full guard. Elbows from Condit from his back. MacDonald posturing up  and now to his feet and lets Condit up. Stiff jab from MacDonald and Condit lands a nice right and wobbles MacDonald. Big right from MacDonald and another and then a flying knee and MacDonald is looking sharp on his feet. Another take down now from MacDonald and he is scoring points. Condit with full guard and a bloody nose. Back to the feet and MacDonald still moving forward he is being ultra aggressive. Front kick to the chest by MacDonald. Nice leg kick from Condit. MacDonald catches a knee and lands a good right. Clinch from Condit but he lets it go. Duck under from MacDonald and he gets another good take down. Thats the bell and the young Canadian has come to fight he controlled that round on the feet and ground. 10-9 MacDonald.


Round two: MacDonald looks confident. MacDonald catches a knee again an lands a right then gets a take down during a scramble. Half guard for Condit. MacDonald looking to pass but lets Condit to his feet when he sees it will be to much trouble. Nice one two from MacDonald. Head kick from MacDonald. Leg kick from Condit. Condit now gets MacDonald down and is going for some ground and pound. MacDonald with a sweep and now he is on top!! Full guard for Condit and MacDonald is showing amazing skill right now. MacDonald again stands up and lets Condit to his feet after scoring some points. The crowd is chanting "Lets go Rory!" Wow great combo from MacDonald snaps the head of Condit back and sends sweat and blood flying. Good leg kick from Condit. Jab from MacDonald. Condit now lands a good couple jabs. Spinning backfist. MacDonald with a front to the face and chest and puts Condit on his back to end the round. Again all MacDonald he is extremely impressive. 10-9 MacDonald.


Round three: Leg kick from Condit. MacDonald catches a leg and lands a snapping head kick. MacDonald charging forward and lands a sick combo! Condit with a good right and now Condit is on top in half guard. MacDonald is bleeding from the side of his head and Condit lands a good elbow. Another sick elbow from Condit and it looks like he knows he needs to finish this fight. Condit is mounted briefly but now to side control. MacDonald looks like those elbows have taken a toll he has slowed down considerably. Condit is connecting with serious elbows. MacDonald gets a burst of energy and literally walks his way to his feet. Good combo from Condit and MacDonald goes for a desperation take down but Condit stuffs it and is on top throwing HUGE elbows!! MacDonald is definitely hurt bad, his right eye is grossly swollen it looks like he broke his orbital bone. MacDonald trying to hang on and Condit knows he needs a finish to win. Condit with another nice elbow. Condit posturing and trying to land bombs but he is wasting time. BIG elbows from Condit and he has done incredible damage in this round. MacDonald is trying to hold on but the ref stops the fight!!! With 8 seconds left in the fight the ref stops it! Wow could be considered a premature stoppage on the damage that was being done at the time of the stoppage. But throughout round 3 Rory MacDonald took an unbelievable damage to his face and most like broke facial bones. The ref saved him from getting hurt any worse than he already was. Amazing finish from Condit.

Final result: Carlos Condit defeats Rory MacDonald via TKO (Strikes) Round 3

Ben Rothwell vs. Gilbert Yvel (265-pound limit)

Round one: Rothwell comes out and lands some HUGE rights. He is throwing bombs to start. Yvel now trying to lock in a standing guillotine but nothing there. Rothwell now on top in side control right where he wants to be. Rothwell to the mount with ease but Yvel throws him off with fury!! Yvel on top now! Rothwell though goes right for another take down and is on top and passes right into side control without a problem. He has a huge advantage on the ground and it is painfully obvious. Yvel holding on hoping for a stand up and Yvel scrambles out and is up briefly but Rothwell with a take down again right away. Full mount for Rothwell but Yvel is with his back against the cage. Rothwell pulls him off and is on top again. Yvel with a hip escape and now is going for a leg lock but cannot lock it up. Yvel almost gets a roll over and now he does get it on the 2nd attempt. Yvel has the back and lands a big kick on the way up. Yvel with a good left hook and now lands two BIG rights!! Rothwell looks hurt and he ties up Yvel to avoid any more strikes. Knee from Rothwell and a high kick and big right from Yvel to close it out. 10-9 round for Rothwell, but he is in trouble if this stays on the feet.

Round two: Left from Yvel and Rothwell drops down instantly and gets a take down. Full guard from Yvel. Both men looked gassed. Yvel briefly looks like he might get a triangle but he has nothing to get it locked in. Side control for Rothwell. Body punches from Rothwell. Half guard for Yvel. Yvel goes for a roll but Rothwell stops it and mounts. Big elbow from Rothwell. Yvel back to his feet. Rothwell holding him against the cage. Both men looked gassed beyond belief. Rothwell with another take down. Yvel uses an Americana to sweep! Yvel is on top now and he lands a HUGE left hand!!! Yvel now landing BOMBS!!!! Yvel with a HUGEE right hand. Yvel still has some serious power behind his shots. Rothwell somehow gets to his feet and gets another take down. Rothwell basically laying on top of Yvel trying to recover from those bombs. full mount from Rothwell but he is not doing anything with it. Thats the round both men are spent, Rothwell was on top for most of the round but Yvel did serious damage and almost finished it. 10-9 Yvel.


Round three: Yvel dives in for a take down for what reason i dont know. He is gassed. Rothwell stuffs it and is right into side control. Elbows from Rothwell. Rothwell with another mount. Half guard for Yvel and this round is painful to watch. Both men have nothing left. Rothwell landing marshmallow elbows. Crucifix mount for Rothwell but he is not landing anything. A sporadic elbow here and there from Rothwell. Nothing going on literally. Both men kind of just laying in position. Thats the bell, this one is over thank god. 10-9 round for Rothwell. He should win this decision easy.

Final result: Ben Rothwell defeats Gilbert Yvel via Unanimous Decision

Mac Danzig vs. Matt Wiman (155-pound limit)

Round one: Nice lightweight match up here -- both guys prefer to bring it. Let's see what happens. Wiman comes out with a kick to feel things out and Danzig hits him with a looping left. Wiman winds up with another big kick to the body and this time Danzig catches it and takes him down. Danzig in top position, working the ground and pound from the guard. Wiman lands a nice elbow from the bottom, now he sinks in a guillotine choke and rolls him over on his back. It's tight! Danzig is maneuvering to get air. It looks like he's struggling. Wiman tells the referee he's out, and the referee believes him. He stops the fight. But Danzig is not out! He pops up like toast out of a toaster. Wow. Terrible stoppage. LaVigne did test the arm of Danzig, but it didn't appear as though he gave him enough time. Wiman and Danzig want to keep fighting, but the referee already made his decision. It's over. Odd ending. But it is what it is. Neither fighter is happy ... or the crowd.

Final result: Matt Wiman defeats Mac Danzig via submission (guillotine choke) in round one

Evan Dunham vs. Tyson Griffin (155-pound limit)

Round one: Training partners? Who cares. These two clearly have bigger things on their minds. Time to see how it plays out for real this time. Dunham lands a nice kick to open things up. Griffin responds with a few looping head shots that don't find their mark. He keeps head hunting. Dunham dives in for a single leg, but Griffin backs off and somehow hops his way out of it. Back to the center of the cage. Dunham lands a left to the temple as Griffin connects with a leg kick. Griffin throws another leg kick. And another. Dunham throws a nice combination and finishes it with a solid kick. Griffin inside leg kick, then nice right to the head. Dunham counters with a nice punch of his own. Griffin misses with a wild left hook and Dunham uses the momentum to take his back. He's got the hooks in, but Griffin appears to be defending nicely. Griffin rolls to his belly, but Dunham gets him supine just as fast. Dunham boxes the ears from behind, trying to loosen him up for the choke. Clock is winding down. Griffin gets out of trouble thanks to the bell. Good round.

Round two: Dunham opens up round two with a nice left. Griffin tries to respons with a big right, but Dunham ducks under and goes for a takedown. Griffin goes for a guillotine on the way down, but Dunham is able to pop his head out. Now Dunham in full guard, nailing him with some nice elbows. He goes for a choke, but Griffin is able to find a way out. They get to their feet and Griffin throws another punch, but, again, Dunham takes him down. He's now got his back. Dunham in the same position as he was in the first round, but now he's got more time (two minutes). Griffin is working hard to avoid the choke, rolling to belly and then getting to his feet. Dunham is still clinging to his back, standing, with a body triangle locked in tight. Griffin goes face first to dump him, but Dunham hangs on. Griffin gets back to his feet with Dunham still on his back ... and that's how the round ends.

Round three: Randy Couture tells Griffin between rounds that he needs a knockout. He comes out guns blazing and they exchange a flurry in the center of the cage. Griffin goes for a takedown now, but can't get it. Dunham lands a nice knee to the body. Dunham throws a kick to the body and Griffin goes airborne to try and avoid it. He gets to his feet and dives for a takedown. Dunham reverses and, again, gets the back of Griffin. Same position as rounds one and two. Dunham now gets the hooks in. Griffin protects his neck and Dunham drills the left ear with punches. Griffin stands up and walks over to the cage with Dunham on his back. Dunham still working for the choke. Griffin, standing up, still defending it. Griffin goes for one last spike, but Dunham hangs on until the horn sounds.

Final result: Evan Dunham defeats Tyson Griffin via split decision
