UFC 114 results and LIVE fight coverage for 'Rampage vs Evans' on May 29 in Las Vegas

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to pull the trigger on one of its most anticipated pay-per-view (PPV) events of the 2010 fight season TONIGHT (Saturday, May 29) from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

UFC 114 will feature a 205-pound grudge match between former light heavyweight champions and Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 10 coaches, "Sugar" Rashad Evans and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Also slated for the main card will be a middleweight showdown between British brawler, Michael Bisping, and the always-tough Dan Miller.

MMAmania.com will provide LIVE blow-by-blow, round-by-round coverage of UFC 114, beginning with the Spike TV broadcast at 9 p.m. ET. We'll then roll right into the PPV telecast at 10 p.m. ET. Up-to-the-minute quick results of all the other under card action will begin around 8 p.m. ET.

Dong Hyun Kim vs. Amir Sadollah (170-pound limit)

Round one: Low kick by Gun. Sadollah answers but Stunny takes him down. Kim looking for an arm-triangle but Amir defends. Jason Von Flue gets props. Sadollah to guard and Kim blasts him in the face with a punch then an elbow. Lots of ground shuffling. Kim gets him pushed to the cage. Sadollah stands and Kim takes his back. Amir defending well and survives the round.

Round two: Sadollah working the kicks but Kim uses an opening to take him right back down. He passes with ease. From side control Kim leaves an opening and Amir escapes and tags him with a knee but Gun goes right back to the takedown after a brief struggle. Kim tries to posture but Sadollah defends from guard. Kim gets crafty and traps Sadollah with his own arm and plugs him a few times in the face. Kim loses the hold but gets full mount and they battle for position until the bell.

Round three: Sadollah needs a finish. He stalks the Korean. Kim grabs a leg and rolls him to the ground with little effort. Kim pushes him to the cage. Sadollah sits up only to get mounted. He's still defending but Kim is relentless in his attack. Quick triangle attempt but Gunny powers out. Sadollah escapes! He stuffs a takedown! But then Kim wrestles him down but lo and behold he's up again! Sadollah is landing shots but he's so gassed they do no damage. Kim ties him up and runs out the clock.

Final result: Dong Hyun Kim def. Amir Sadollah via unanimous decision

Efrain Escudero vs. Dan Lauzon (155-pound limit)

Round one: Feeling out process. High kick fade away from Lauzon. Nice combo from Hencho. High kick misses for Lauzon. Lots of bobbing and weaving. They clinch and Escudero takes him to the cage but can't get the takedown so he batters him with knees and punches instead. He goes back to the leg but Lauzon pushes off. Nice low kick by Escudero after he does a weird Westworld robot move. Holy shit Escudero just did the Soda Popinsky foot shuffle on live TV. Back to the dancing. Crowd boos. Low kick by Escudero. Crowd boos the round out.

Round two: Lauzon working the jab. Low kick by Escudero. Hencho charges with punches and locks in a clinch and rails Lauzon with knees and punches. Upgrade survives. Diving takedown from Lauzon gets stuffed. Up against the cage they battle for position. They break and Escudero lands a low kick. Again. More dancing. Crowd boos. ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!? Hard low kick by Escudero. Lauzon looks tired. Another Mexican low kick. Escudero checks a punch but it still topples Lauzon who is on his back then hops up. Escudero stalks and charges him into the cage and that's the round.

Round three: Escudero tries to get the crowd to cheer and fails miserably. Bobbing and weaving and Escudero gets one in the jumping beans. He's okay to fight. Low kick finds its mark for Escudero. High kick misses for Lauzon. They seem to be punching from ten feet away which is probably why nothing lands. Escudero pushes him to the cage and smothers him. Back to the center of the cage and Escudero gets flashy with jumping knees and strikes. Lauzon absorbs it. More bad striking and Escudero hits a low kick. Not a good fight to try and sell a pay-per-view. Escudero's wrestling has found its way to the back of a milk carton. Crowd boos mightily. Escudero low kick downgrades Lauzon's yam bag. Action is halted though you wouldn't know the difference in this fight. Escudero loses a point. They resume and fists start flying like crazy. Way to save it for the last ten seconds. Fight over.



Final result: Efrain Escudero def. Dan Lauzon via unanimous decision

UFC 114 PLAY-BY-PLAY LIVE MAIN CARD COMMENTARY:
Druby here for another big night of fights. We finally get to put a bow on the Rampage/Evans feud so sit back relax and enjoy the mayhem Maniacs.

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson vs. "Sugar" Rashad Evans (205-pound limit)

Round one: Jab from Rampage. Big right from Rashad and he charges in looking for the take down!!! Rampage is hurt bad but he is holding on as their clinched up against the cage. Wow Rashad could have finished it their but Rampage is recovered now. Knees to the thigh from Rashad. Evans dropping down for a take down but Rampage stuffs it. Big knee from Rampage. Herb Dean breaks em. Rampage looks recovered. Right from Evans and then an explosive take down by Rashad. He lands in side control but Rampage is looking to walk the wall. Half guard for Evans. Nice right from Evans on the way up. Rampage to his feet. Body shot from Evans. Dean breaks em again. Big left right combo from Rampage to close out the round. That could give him some confidence going forward, but it was an easy 10-9 round for Evans.


Round two: Rampage throwing alot more faints. Rampage blocks a right and lands a weak left. Evans pushes him against the cage. Knee to the thigh from Evans. Big uppercut from Rampage glances Evans chin. Rampage starting to throw serious power shots. Evans shoots for a double and is stuffed and again their against the cage. Knee from Rampage. Dean breaks em again. Rampage misses a big left hook. Evans respecting the power more now. Jab from Evans. Uppercut from Rampage and Evans pushes him against the cage again. Rampage needs to find a way to counter the speed of Evans somehow. Evans drops down for a take down but cant get it and ends up with the back then lands some punches. Thats the bell, not an exciting round but Evans probably won it with Octagon control. 10-9 Evans.


Round three: Big right from Rampage and then another right after a brief scramble. Rampage throwing with bad intentions he knows he likely needs a KO. Big right from Rampage and Evans is dropped!!! Rampage dropping BOMBS now and he is landing some serious punches!!! Herb Dean almost stops it but Evans now is holding on for dear life! Evans is now back to his feet. Rampage has a single but lets it go. Evans is wobbly he is still hurt. Rampage misses a right and Evans ducks under for the take down. Rampage wasted almost 30 seconds when Evans was obviously still hurt and now he has recovered. Evans now landing some punches. Rampage back to his feet Rashad drops down for another take down and he gets it!! Evans has the back and he is holding onto it. Thats the bell, and Rashad just barely stays alive and wins this fight. Rampage was oh so close but he just waited way too long after they were back to the feet.



Final result: Rashad Evans defeats Rampage Jackson via Unanimous Decision

Jason Brilz vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (205-pound limit)

Round one: Nogueira moving around light on his feet. Leg kick from Nog. Big knee from Nogueira. Brilz with a take down attempt that is not even close. Nice leg kick from Nog but Brilz catches and gets the take down. Full guard for Nog and now he is throwing his legs high for a triangle. Brilz to half guard, and Lil Nog almost gets a sweep but Brilz with great defensive control. Nogueira going for another sweep and now he has the back of Brilz!! Nog now on Brilz back and is landing good punches. Brilz to his feet and their standing again. Inside leg kick from Brilz. Brilz ducks under a right and grabs a single. Nig is out of it now and their back to standing. Left and then a right from Nog at the bell and it was a close round but Brilz won that one with his ground control and good distance. He is aware of Nogueira's power and is staying out of range. 10-9 Brilz.


Round two: Inside leg kick then a single leg take down for Brilz. Nog locks in a guillotine. Its tight but Brilz slips out! Nog with a big sweep and is now on top but Brilz has a guillotine locked in now!! Its tight and Nog is flailing around trying to somehow slip out but Brilz is not letting go!!! Brilz lets go and is now in half guard. Brilz again with a guillotine lock but Nog slips into side control and gets out. Nogueira now with a north south position and he is looking for the choke. Their back to their feet now and great back and forth on the ground. Sloppy left from Nog and Brilz has another single and uses it to land a knee to the gut. Jab from Nog. Brilz lands a big right. Nog looks tired. Brilz ducks under and almost gets a single. Nog with good defense. Good right from Brilz. Knee from Nog. Both men are throwing bomb and Nog lands two lefts but Brilz lands two BIG rights and he hurts NOG! Nog is backing off and he looks wobbly. Thats the bell, and Brilz is on the verge of an amazing upset. He is up 2 rounds to none right now. 10-9 Brilz.


Round three:  Jason Brilz has a huge smile on his face before the round. Jab from Nog. Jab from Nog. Brilz with another single and gets the take down. Brilz in half guard now. Nog with a powerful sweep. Brilz trying to scramble and Nog is now on top. Brilz trying to walk up the cage. He is up. Brilz goes right for a single. Nog defending with his back against the cage. Brilz lets go. Nice right from Brilz. Nog looks frustrated. Brilz dives right for the single again. Nog now with north south position and is looking for a choke to finish it. Knee to the body from Nog. Right from Nog. Brilz again with a single leg take down. Nog working to get the back of Brilz now. Nog pulls Brilz into a crucifix. Brilz rolls over and ends up on top!! Big sweep from Lil Nog now and he needs to somehow finish this fight. Nog in half guard. Thats where the bell rings. This last round was extremely close id lean 10-9 Nogueira but it could go either way. Amazing showing from Brilz he could have just scored an awesome upset.

Final result: Antonio Rogiero Nogueira defeats Jason Brilz via Split Decision

Michael Bisping vs. Dan Miller (185-pound limit)

Round one: Jab from Bisping. Big left from Miller rocks Bisping back. Low blow stops the fight for a second. Right from Bisping. Big right for Bisping. Nice combo from Miller. Both men content going toe to toe. Big right from Bisping and counter left from Miller. Jab from Bisping. Nice left from Miller. Nice right from Miller and then Bisping with one of his own. Double jab from Bisping and leg kick from Miller. Inside leg kick from Miller. Counter left from Miller. Nice right from Bisping. Leg kick from Miller. Right from Bisping. Jab from Miller. Nice right from Bisping. Jab from Bisping. Very very close round could go either way easily. Id lean 10-9 Bisping, but Miller could have won it just as easy.


Round two: Jab from Bisping. Miller is bleeding from his nose. Inside leg kick from Miller. Another inside leg kick from Miller. Body shot from Miller. Nice inside leg kick from Miller. Nice right from Bisping. Big right then left from the Britt. Inside leg kick from Miller. Nice right from Miller. Head kick from Bisping blocked, Miller counters with a right and leg kick. Take down attempt from Miller stuffed easy. BIG right hand from Bisping. Inside leg kick from Miller. Nice right from Bisping. Good left from Bisping. Bisping is now finding his range and controlling the action. Another right from Bisping. Nice one two from Bisping. Right from Bisping. Nice left from Bisping. Left from Miller. Right from Bisping. Left from Miller and a big right from Miller at the buzzer. Bisping however is controlling the action and landing his right at will. 10-9 Bisping.


Round three: Bisping lands a flurry. Miller with a big right that hurts Bisping bad. Bisping now lands a BIG combo. Bisping being cautious now. Good right from Bisping. Inside leg kick from Miller. Body shot from Miller. Miller ducks under and finally gets a big take down. Bisping right into full guard. Miller drags Bisping against the cage, but Bisping walks up the cage to his feet. Big right from Bisping. Nice body kick from Miller but he will need more than that at this point. Big right from Bisping, Miller goes for another take down. Bisping stuffs it and their against the cage. They break and Bisping lands a right. Nice left from Bisping. Both man land lefts Bisping connects with a good right. Body shot from Miller at the bell. Bisping controlled this fight and should win the decision he looked great on his feet and had amazing take down defense. 10-9 Bisping.

Final result: Michael Bisping defeats Dan Miller via Unanimous Decision

John Hathaway vs. Diego Sanchez (170-pound limit)

Round one: Left from Diego finds a home on the chin of Hathaway. Sanchez goes for a double and has Hathaway pushed against the cage. Hathaway good take down defense uses an underhook to reverse position. Hathaway with a big elbow and Diego gets a brief takedown but Hathaway right back to his feet. Hathaway has a huge strength advantage. Right from Hathaway. Leg kick from Hathaway. Hathaway lands a HUGE knee as Diego was shooting and Sanchez is hurt bad!!!! Hathaway is pounding away now with some punches and elbows while Diego is on his back. Hathaway was so so close to finishing it but Sanchez seems to have recovered for the most part now. Sanchez with full guard. Hathaway with a huge punch. Hathaway is landing some great elbows and punches he is beating Diego up. That's the bell Hathaway dominated and almost finished it. 10-9 Hathaway.


Round two: Hathaway with a right. Hathaway with a big left. Diego with a right. Diego with a right. Diego with a big take down. Hathaway trying to walk up the cage. He is up. Right from Hathaway. Another good right from Hathaway. Diego looking tired already. Nice right from Hathaway he is landing it when he wants. Big right snaps the head of Sanchez back. Hathaway is laying some wood. Another good right from Hathaway and now he lands a sick counter left. Thats the bell and this fight is all Hathaway right now he is picking apart Sanchez with his strength and reach. 10-9 Hathaway.


Round three: Right from Hathaway. Diego's corner did not seem all that worried which means they must be delusional. Nice left from Sanchez. Nice left from Hathaway. Sanchez ducks under for a double and gets stuffed and then punched in the face with an uppercut for his trouble. Nice right from Sanchez. Hathaway with a stiff right. Solid left from Diego but he is not throwing any combos. Diego shoots and Hathaway with another stop and knee to the head of Diego. Nice right from Hathaway. Hathaway lands 1st with a right. Both men bleeding from the nose. Big head kick from Hathaway and then a straight left. Both men land lefts. Diego with a good left, and Hathaway answers with one of his own. Double jab from Hathaway. Hathaway throws Sanchez like a rag doll and lands a left at the bell. That is the fight and this one is easy to call, Hathaway won every round convincingly. He almost finished the fight in the 1st. 10-9 Hathaway.

Final result: John Hathaway defeats Diego Sanchez via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26)

Todd Duffee vs. Mike Russow (265-pound limit)

Round one: Duffee comes out quick throwing strong combos. Duffee throwing alot of punches right off the bat. Big uppercut from Duffee and then a left and Russow is dropped briefly. Two good rights from Duffee land. Big jab from Duffee and another. Russow goes for a single but is stuffed. Russow is running scared. Jab from Duffee. Big right and uppercut from Duffee. Duffee is going to get a KO soon if this keeps going how it is. Big right from Duffee. Jab from Duffee. Duffee is landing big rights and uppercuts. Head kick from Duffee. Big round for Duffee im shocked he didnt finish it. 10-9 Duffee and this might be over soon.


Round two: Uppercut from Duffee and the only good thing you can say about Russow is that he can take a punch. Uppercut from Duffee. Another uppercut from Duffee and he is starting to slow his pace down. Russow finally lands a good right. Duffee now angry is teeing off. Right from Russow. Left from Duffee. Right from Duffee. Right from Russow this round not much is going on. Right from Duffee. Inside leg kick from Duffee. Jab from Duffee. Left from Duffee. That was a painful round to watch. Duffee has slowed down bigtime. Duffee wins that round by default. 10-9 Duffee.

Round three: Duffee looks gassed. Russow looks afraid. Not a great cocktail we got going in round 3. Right from Russow. Russow shoots for a leg but nothing there. Left from Duffee. Duffee trying to throw bombs but nothing hits it looks like he is favoring his right hand. Joe Rogan thinks it could be broken. Left from Duffee. HOLY CRAP MIKE RUSSOW JUST KNOCKED OUT DUFFEE WITH A HUGE RIGHT. OH MY GOD THE 1ST THING RUSSOW LANDS PUTS DUFFEE OUT COLD!! THAT WAS INSANE! UNBELIEVABLE.
