In addition to the previously announced Nick Diaz vs. Hayato Sakurai match up that will now take place at DREAM.14, three more fights have been added to the May 29 event.
Head Kick Legend brings word that six featherweights have now joined the fray.
Joachim Hansen (19-9), who is coming off of a narrow split decision loss to Bibiano Fernades in the promotion's featherweight championship contest at DREAM.13, will be looking to get back in the win column as he battles Hiroyuki Takaya.
Takaya (12-8) has suffered back-to-back defeats since making a run to the finals in DREAM's 2009 Featherweight Grand Prix, where he also dropped a split decision to Fernandes.
Next up is a contest between Hideo Tokoro (26-21-1) and Akiyo Nishiura (10-5-1). Both gentlemen were participants in the 2009 DREAM Featherweight Grand Prix, though neither made it out of the first round. Tokoro has since rebounded with a unanimous decision win over Jong Man Kim at Dynamite!! 2009. Nishiura will be looking to bounce back after dropping a decision to Gustavo Falciroli at a Shooto event his last time out.
Lastly, a bout featuring Miyata Kazuyki (8-7) and DEEP featherweight champion Takafumi Otsuka (10-4-1) has officially been announced by the promotion. Miyata has won three consecutive fights while competing in DREAM and DEEP after succumbing to rear naked chokes in back-to-back defeats, one coming courtesy of the aforementioned Hansen.
Otsuka is another recent victim of Bibiano Fernandes as he lost to the eventual champion in the first round of the 2009 DREAM Featherweight Grand Prix. He has however, rebounded nicely with recent wins over Dokonjonosuke Mishima and Takeshi Yamazaki.
DREAM.14 will also feature the start of the 2010 Light Heavyweight Grand Prix. Notable participants expected to compete in the tournament include Renato "Babalu" Sobral, King Mo Lawal, Gegard Mousasi, Sokoudjou, and Marius Zaromskis.
