The official weigh-in event for WEC 48: "Aldo vs. Faber" is set to go down from the Arco Arena in Sacramento, California, on Friday, April 23, 2010.
It is currently scheduled to air LIVE right here on MMAmania.com, as well as several other online destinations via streaming video. The first fighter is expected to tip the scale at 4 p.m. ET.
As usual, MMAmania.com will provide the latest coverage of the WEC 48 weigh-ins, as well as provide a detailed recap of the festivities as soon as they conclude.
WEC 48 features a featherweight championship title fight between the promotion's greatest marketing asset, "The California Kid" Urijah Faber, and the seemingly invincible 145-pound champion, Jose "Junior" Aldo.
Also booked for the star-studded event is newly-crowned lightweight champion Ben "Smooth" Henderson as he answers the call of Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone. Mike Brown will also take part in the action when he collides with Manny "Pitbull" Gamburyan.

For those fortunate enough to be in "River City" for the promotion’s return trip to the Arco Arena, remember that the weigh-in is FREE to attend and open to the public. Doors to the weigh-in will open at 3 p.m. PT for the general public.
Fight fans will have the opportunity to nab a few John Hancock's before the festivities as WEC stars Dominick Cruz, Joseph Benavidez and Josh Grispi will all be on hand for a special autograph session from 12-2 p.m. PT.
In addition, UFC Fight Club members will be able to attend an exclusive Q&A session with former lightweight champion Jamie Varner as well as UFC middleweight contender Chael Sonnen immediately afterward at 2 p.m. PT.
