Strikeforce to hold Showtime event June 16 -- 'Mayhem' Miller vs Robbie Lawler targeted as feature bout

Jason "Mayhem" Miller is a popular guy right now.

The day before he takes on journeyman Tim Stout in somewhat of a tune-up fight at Strikeforce: Nashville, Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker revealed to MMA Fighting that the promotion has plans to hold a Showtime event on June 16 from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California coinciding with the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) being held that weekend at the nearby Los Angeles Convention Center.

"Mayhem" and Robbie Lawler are tentatively scheduled to serve as the feature bout.

The match up does have a catch however. Miller will only get the chance to take on "Ruthless" if he successfully manages to get by Stout tomorrow night on CBS.

Lawler was last seen in action in January at Strikeforce: Miami where he pulled off a straight up miracle with a stunning knockout of Melvin Manhoef just seconds before his leg was to be detached from the rest of his body due to some vicious kicks courtesy of the Dutch striker.
