WEC 48: "Aldo vs. Faber" is starting to look more and more like a UFC event every day. On the heels of the announcement that Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan will be taking over the play-by-play duties, Spike TV has released news that they will be airing two prelim fights from the WEC 48 pay-per-view card on April 24.

Dana White tweeted the news earlier today and MMAmania.com has since been able to confirm the fights scheduled to be shown with a Spike TV executive.

Leonard Garcia (13-5-1) vs. Chan Sung Jung (10-1) and Alex Karalexis (10-4) vs. Anthony Pettis (8-1) will air live on Sipke TV at 9 p.m. ET, 6 p.m PT.

WEC 48 will also be the beneficiary of a Countdown show which is set to debut on Versus on April 21 at 4 p.m. ET, 1 p.m. PT with several replays airing on the network in the lead up to the event.

So, even if the WEC's first pay-per-view card doesn't perform the way that the Zuffa brass is hoping for, you can't say they haven't tried in putting their best foot forward.
