Electrifying welterweight strikers Amir Sadollah (3-1) and Dong Hyun Kim (12-0-1) have agreed to throw leather on the upcoming UFC 114 fight card, tentatively scheduled for the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 29 according to MMAWeekly.
After more than a year on the sidelines, Sadollah finally got back into the cage at UFC 101 last September in his welterweight debut. Unfortunately his return was short lived after Johnny Hendricks put him down in the first round.
The loss didn't seem to bother him much, as he came firing back and put an ass whooping on veteran Phil Baroni at UFC 106 just two months later.
The Ultimate Fighter 7 champ quickly made it two in a row, again dominating his opponent at UFC Fight Night 20 when he gave Brad Blackburn three rounds of hell just last month.
Now Sadollah gets to prove his merit in a very crowded division against the tough-as-nails Korean.
"Stun Gun" scored a unanimous decision win over Brazilian jiu-jitsu stylist TJ Grant at UFC 100: "Lesnar vs. Mir 2" back in July 2009. The convincing victory over the Canadian was important because Kim had previously been involved in two close matches that could have gone either way.
He was originally penciled in to butt heads with Chris Lytle "Down Under" at UFC 110, but was forced to withdraw from the event due to injury.
UFC 114 will feature the long overdue light heavyweight grudge match between bitter rivals and former TUF 10 coaches "Suga'" Rashad Evans and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.
Also on tap for the main card is the return of Diego Sanchez to the welterweight division opposite John Hathaway.
Keep it locked in to MMAmania for future updates to this still-developing fight card.
