Quoteworthy:

"I want to fight the baddest guys on the planet. This kid’s definitely tough, but he hasn’t proved himself against the top competition. I wanted one of the top guys. Like I said, it’s a fight, it’s going to happen, and I’m excited for it and ready to go ... I’m ready to fight for the title, I’m ready to fight one of these top guys, fight for a contendership fight, there’s no doubt in my mind. But [the UFC makes] the fights that they want to make. If this is the fight they felt they needed to make, then my job is to go in there and beat this kid up."

Despite being 7-1 inside the Octagon and 18-2 overall, AMA Fight Club product Jim Miller, who recently took a unanimous decision win over the dangerous Gleison Tibau at UFC Fight Night 22 back in September, still hasn't secured a place in line for the current lightweight title race. The Sparta native has only one blemish on his stellar UFC resume, a decision loss to the still-unbeaten Gray Maynard. Does a win over the undefeated Charles Oliveira at UFC 124 finally put him in contention? Or is the 155-pound division just too crowded for him to be a factor?
