The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 12 Finale from "The Pearl" at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, has officially wrapped, which means that it’s time for those select fighters who went above and beyond in their respective fights to get a little extra grease for their efforts.
To the tune of $30,000 each.
The promotion dished out its standard post-fight monetary bonuses to three out of the 22 fighters on the card. And it may not surprise you which fighters are leaving "Sin City" with another round of green.
In addition to their base salaries, the UFC awarded featherweight brawlers Leonard Garcia and Nam Phan "Fight of the Night" for their three round war that saw the "Bad Boy" take home a highly controversial split decision win.
Also bringing home some proverbial bacon was TUF season 12 contestant Cody McKenzie. The master of the guillotine choke applied it one more time and took home a lofty bonus for his efforts in getting awarded the coveted "Submission of the Night" bonus.
Rounding out the honors was Pablo Garza, who scored a vicious "Knockout of the Night" over Fredson Paixao in the very first ever featherweight contest in UFC history. The "Scarecrow" made sure it was a memorable one, with a huge flying knee that put Paixao down for a short nap.
Here are the special fight bonuses for The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 12 Finale:
Fight of the Night -- Leonard Garcia vs Nam Phan
Knockout of the Night -- Pablo Garza
Submission of the Night -- Cody McKenzie
Again, each fighter received $30,000 extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries, which we will pass along as soon as possible.
