It will have been nearly an entire year but he's finally back.
Brian Bowles will make his return to the cage and UFC debut when he takes on Damacio Page at UFC on Versus 3, set to go down on March 3, according to MMAWeekly.com.
It won't be the first time these two have met.
Back in August of 2008, Bowles submitted Page with a guillotine that won him "Submission of the Night" honors and sent him down his path to the bantamweight title.
The stakes (and bonuses) are much higher this time around.
After submitting Page, Bowles eventually went on to bring an end to the long title reign of Miguel Torres at WEC 42 by viciously knocking him out in the first round.
The celebration was short lived as he broke his hand in his next fight and dropped the belt to current division kingpin Dominick Cruz.
For his part, "The Angel of Death" has lost two of his last four fights, both by guillotine, most recently to Demetrious Johnson at WEC 52. A loss would put him on the brink of receiving that dreaded slip that rhymes with blink.
UFC on Versus 3 is set to go down on March 3 and is rumored to be headed for Kentucky. Diego Sanchez vs Martin Kampmann is all set for the card, presumably in the main event of the evening.
Other fights thought to go down that night are Frank Mir vs Brendan Schaub and C.B. Dollaway vs Mark Munoz.
